Coaches Travis Lansing has been the head coach for the Hemet Valley Dolphin Aquatics since 2004, and has been coaching since 1998 for different teams. Travis graduated from Hemet High School in 1998, where he swam and played water polo for four years. He then went to school at Palomar College in San Diego and California State University Bakersfield swimming and playing water polo for four years. While at CSUB Travis swam on the national team for Division II swimming, and placed in finals consistently for both years and becoming a NCAA Division II All - American. After moving home he began coaching for the Dolphins in 2003, finally attaining status as the head coach in early 2004.Travis coaches the Silver and Gold groups, which are the more advanced groups. Travis is currently finishing a Bachelors degree in Science in the field of Environmental Resource Management. He also coaches the girl’s water polo team at Hemet High School and is a volunteer Firefighter for the Riverside County Fire Dept.
Julie started coaching the Dolphins in May of 2004. She coaches the Red group swimmers who are ages 4-10. She teaches them basic skills and techniques. Julie came to the Dolphins after completing her degree in Physical Education and Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science from California State University, Bakersfield. While at Bakersfield she also competed on the women’s swim team and was a NCAA Division II All American for swimming. Before coming to the Dolphins Julie taught swim lessons for 7 years. Julie started her swimming career in 1989. She is now passing on her knowledge and love of swimming onto our young swimmers. With Julie’s as the beginning instructor, our swimmers have a great start in the world of competitive swimming.
Scott Hitchcock is Hemet Valley Dolphins Aquatics mid-level coach of our blue and bronze group. Scott has been dedicated to the swim team for 7 years. Scott is a level one coach, certified in water safety and CPR. Before joining the dolphins, Scott swam and played water polo during his 4 years of high school. Additionally, Scott supports the Boy Scouts of America in obtaining their water safety badges. Scott continues to coach with dolphins, as he loves the enriching rewards
he receives when the kids succeed. Scott enjoys working with the future
swimmers on our great team. |
